HENDERSON, Tenn. - The Lady Lion volleyball team added another player to its 2017 recruiting class with the recent signing of local standout Shea Dean of Jackson, Tenn.

Dean, a 6-foot Middle Hitter, prepped at South Side High School, where she was an All-District and All-Tournament performer with the Hawks.

Throughout her time at South Side High School, Dean earned District Player of the Year honors for three consecutive years while also being named All-West Tennessee Hitter in her final two seasons.

In addition to her ability on the court, Dean has also excelled in the classroom, earning a 4.0 GPA throughout her high school career at South Side High School.

"Shea is a great addition to our front row with Club experience," said Todd Humphry, head coach for the Lady Lion volleyball program. "We are looking for her to make an immediate impact with the graduation of Daymari Brito. We are excited about getting our local talent to stay in West Tennessee!"

Dean is the fifth player signed to the Lady Lion volleyball team for the 2017 season. She joins Rachel Hudgins (Hickman County High School/Centerville, Tenn.), Reilly Fulton (Centennial High School/Franklin, Tenn.), Claire Walker (Hazel Green High School / Hazel Green, Ala.) and Emma Self (Middle Tennessee Christian / Murfreesboro, Tenn.) in the 2017 recruiting class for the Lady Lion volleyball program.
