HENDERSON, Tenn. - The Freed-Hardeman Lion basketball program added another player to its 2017-18 recruiting class with the recent signing of Jonathan Leach of Houston, Texas.

Leach, a 6-8 Forward, prepped at Texas Christian, where he averaged an impressive 15 points, 15 rebounds and four blocks per game throughout his high school career. During his senior season, Leach racked up 1st Team All Tournament honors while being named the All-State Defensive Player of the Year in the state of Texas.

Jim Sanderson, head coach for the Lion basketball program, said Leach will add much needed depth to FHU's roster for the upcoming season.

"We are so excited about Jonathan joining our basketball program," Sanderson said. "With his work ethic and skill capabilities, he will make great strides in the next couple of years. He is a true student athlete and young man of faith that will flourish at Freed-Hardeman."

Jonathan is the son of David and Jennifer Leach of Houston, Texas. He joins Daniel Meis (Memphis, Tenn./Memphis Nighthawks) and Kortland Martin (Humboldt, Tenn./Humboldt High School) in the 2017-18 recruiting class for the Lion basketball program.
