HENDERSON, Tenn. - Old TranSouth Conference rivalries were once again renewed on Thursday, as the Bethel Wildcats, Blue Mountain Toppers and the Freed-Hardeman Lions squared off in a one-day match at the Chickasaw Golf Course.

On the women's side, the Lady Lions won their match against Blue Mountain, shooting a team score of 321. Chloe Kraus led the way for the Lady Lions, shooting a one-over par 74.  Kraus' low round earned her medalist honors. Kayland Boling's 80 and Brittany Myers' 81 put them in second and third place respectively. Emily Whitnell's 86 rounded out the team scoring.

The Lions were led by Hudson Huber and Ben Burnette, each shooting a 4-over par 76. Six individuals carded a 76 and based on a card playoff, Blue Mountain's Andrew McDonald came home with medalist honors.

The Lions team score of 308 put them two shots back of champion Blue Mountain College, who ended the day with a team score of 306. Easton Lavelle, Lance Moore and Dalton Thomasson all shot rounds of 78 to round out the team scoring for Freed-Hardeman. John Parigger's 76 led the Lions "B" team.

The Freed-Hardeman golf teams continue their Fall schedule September 25-26, as they host the FHU Fall Invitational at the Covington Country Club in Covington, Tenn.
