Stacy Myers Palmer
Inducted in 2012
Women's Basketball
As a Lion

Stacy Myers came to FHU from Waynesboro, Tenn., where she was a standout at Wayne Co. HS.  She immediately made an impact, starting all 36 games as a freshman while averaging 12.3 points and 6.7 rebounds per game on her way to being named to the TSAC All-Freshman team.  Her production only increased from there, as she earned first-team all-conference honors and NAIA All-American honors in each of her three final years including a first-team All-American selection in 2007 to go along with her TranSouth Conference Player of the Year honor.  During her senior season, she averaged a career-high 19.5 points per game.  She was also the program's first three-time NAIA All-American.
Myers's name is found all throughout the Lady Lion program records.  She ranks fifth in career scoring (1,875), seventh in career rebounds (898), third in free throws made (536) and third in free throw percentage (82.0), and has top 10 rankings in several other categories.

"Stacy was one of the most versatile post players in the NAIA," said Dale Neal, her coach at FHU. "She could play with her back to the basket or face-up and could go right or left equally well.  She could shoot the three, drive to the basket, or pull up and shoot the jumper.  Many coaches stated that Stacy was one of the toughest players to try to guard that they had ever coached against."

After Graduation

At the time of her induction, Stacy and her husband, former FHU baseball player Michael Palmer, live in Somerville, Ala.  She graduated with highest honors from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and works as a pediatric physical therapist in Decatur, Ala.
