Box Score ST. LOUIS - The Freed-Hardeman Lions got an equalizer in the 89th minute to send their match with Missouri Baptist to overtime, but a Spartan goal eight minutes into the extra period gave MBU a 2-1 win over FHU on Monday afternoon.
Matias Bravo netted the equalizer in the final minute of regulation off a feed from Stefano Basso, giving the Lions new life. MBU made a quick run downfield following the goal and got a shot off from inside the box, but it sailed high as time ran down.
Todd D'Aqulia, who took the last shot of regulation, put away the golden goal in the 98th minute from near point-blank range.

The Spartans controlled overtime, allowing no shots while getting off two including the game-winner.
FHU (7-5, 2-5) wraps up its road schedule on Oct. 15 with a visit to William Woods (Mo.) before returning to Henderson for a four-match home stand to close the regular season.
