HANNIBAL, Mo. - Hannibal LaGrange found the back of the net in the 76th minute off a goal by Felipe Mendes and the lone goal was all the Trojans needed to hand FHU their sixth loss of the season.
FHU (5-6-1, 3-4-1) was outshot by Hannibal LaGrange (7-4-3, 5-1-2) in the match 13-9, with seven of the Trojans shots coming on goal.
Both teams would stay quiet in the first half with solid defensive pressure as Hannibal-LaGrange attempted six shots in the first half compared to the four shots by the Lions.
The action would pick up in the second half of play in the 76th minute after Trojan forward Felipe Mendes was able to break away down the field and fire in a shot just past the reaching arms of FHU keeper Zach Johnson. Trojan midfielder Manuel Saez was credited with the assist.
The Lions struggled to put pressure on the Trojan defense and only mustered two shots on goal throughout the match. Lion defender Christian Falk attempted both shots on goal for FHU in the match.
FHU keeper Zach Johnson had a solid outing in goal with six saves, but the Lions failed to equalize the match in the remaining minutes and picked up their sixth loss of the season.
FHU attempted nine shots in the match, with two of their shots coming on goal, while Hannibal-LaGrange attempted 13 total shots, with seven of their shots coming on goal.
With the loss, the Lions go to 5-6-1 on the season and 3-4-1 in conference play.
