SETTING THE STAGE
There's a lot at stake in tonight's game for No. 1 Freed-Hardeman - two winning streaks (31 games in a row this season, 75 in a row at home), the top overall seed in next week's NAIA National Tournament and the seventh conference championship in program history. Standing between them and those goals are the 16th-ranked Lyon Scots, a team that has given FHU trouble in the past. Like Freed-Hardeman, the Scots have locked up an automatic bid to the national tournament. Now they look for their first-ever conference tournament championship. Lyon pulled away from William Woods (Mo.) in the second half on Saturday for a 65-46 win to advance.

LAST TIME THEY MET
FHU outscored Lyon, 23-6, over the last 8:16 of the first half and went on to a 77-54 win in Henderson on Feb. 19. Grace Alonso de Armino scored a game-high 21 points while Hayley Newby and Brandee Busenlehner both added 15 as FHU shot 50 percent from the field.

INSIDE THE SERIES
With two regular season wins, FHU now leads the all-time series, 31-10. The Lady Lions have won six in a row at home over the Scots. The home team has won the last nine games in the series.

SEARCH FOR SEVEN…
The Lady Lions enter tonight's game looking for the seventh conference tournament championship in program history. FHU won TranSouth Conference titles in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2010 and 2013, along with the American Midwest Conference title last year. The Lady Lions are 5-0 in tournament championship games played in the Brewer Sports Center and 6-6 all-time in championship games.

…AND SEARCHING FOR THEIR FIRST
Meanwhile, Lyon is looking for its first-ever conference tournament championship in what will be its first appearance in a title game since 1992. The Scots have been eliminated in the semifinals in each of the last two years before this season.

LAST TIME THEY MET IN THE POSTSEASON
Even though FHU and Lyon have been longtime conference mates, it's been 17 years since they've met in the postseason. That game took place on March 4, 1998, in the TranSouth Conference quarterfinals. FHU won that game, 73-68.

CAREER DAY
Grace Alonso de Armino is coming off one of the best performances of her career on Saturday, as she scored a career-high 32 points, grabbed 16 rebounds and had five steals to lead FHU to a 76-62 win over Columbia (Mo.) in the semifinals. She had 18 in the first half and bested her previous career-high of 25.

DOUBLING UP
One of FHU's strengths is its rebounding, and much of that is due to the work of Grace Alonso de Armino and Hayley Newby. Both had double-doubles again on Saturday, giving Alonso de Armino 21 for the season and Newby 15. They combined for 48 double-doubles last season. Alonso de Armino is only the second player in program history to have multiple seasons with 20 double-doubles.

MARGINALLY SPEAKING
One of the major reasons for FHU's success this year can be found in its margins. The Lady Lions lead the NAIA in rebounding margin (+15.3) and are third in turnover margin (+8.5). The extended possessions on offense due to offensive rebounding and possessions taken away due to turnovers forced have added up to a scoring margin of +30.2, also tops in the NAIA.

THREE FOR 30
The Lady Lions have won 30 games in each of the last three seasons. The program's longest streak of consecutive 30-win campaigns is four, which happened from 2003-2006.

TOUGH OPPONENT
Freed-Hardeman hasn't lost many games in the last few years, but Lyon has proven to be a tough opponent. The Scots have more wins against FHU than anyone else in the last four years, responsible for three of FHU's eight on-court losses over that span. All three of their wins have come at home in Batesville, Ark. Lyon has twice knocked off Freed-Hardeman when the Lady Lions were ranked No. 1 in the NAIA.

CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS IN HENDERSON
FHU is 5-0 all-time in conference championship games played in the Brewer Sports Center. The results of those games are as follows:

2004: FHU 81, Union 63
2005: FHU 88, Union 82 (OT)
2006: FHU 71, Trevecca Nazarene 64
2013: FHU 71, Martin Methodist 63
2014: FHU 80, Columbia 71
