WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. - The Freed-Hardeman Lion Soccer team kept things close for a majority of the match Tuesday evening on the road at Williams Baptist University, but three late goals by the Eagles sent FHU home with the 4-1 loss in Walnut Ridge, Ark.
The Eagles (5-6-1, 3-4 AMC) kept FHU on the defensive the entire night, as they out-shot the Lions (4-8, 2-6 AMC) 15-7 in the match, with nine of their shots coming on frame. The Lions, on the other hand, attempted just two shots on goal in the match.
William Baptist got the scoring drive started first, as Raul Abellan Sanz found the back of the net in the 35th minute off an assist by Joao Rupp to put the Eagles up 1-0 entering the break.
