HANNIBAL, Mo. – The Lions soccer team (3-6-1, 0-4-1 AMC) came up short against Hannibal-LaGrange (8-3-1, 4-0-1) on Saturday afternoon, losing 6-1 on the road.
The Lions were only down 1-0 headed into halftime after giving up a goal in the 24th minute, but the Trojans were able to turn things up offensively in the second half. They would score three goals to open up the half and score two more to close things out.
Mauricio Jose Gonzalez put the lone goal in the back of the net for the Lions on the assist by Daniel Peinado.
The Lions will play again on Tuesday at home against Harris-Stowe. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
