HENDERSON, Tenn. – The Lions soccer team (2-2) won its second straight match at home with a dominating 7-1 performance over Brescia University (0-5) on Monday night.

Daniel Peinado, who was named the AMC Offensive Player of the Week on Monday afternoon after his five-goal performance last week, continued his offensive tear with a hat trick on Monday, scoring one goal in the opening 45 minutes and adding his second and third in the second half.

It was an excellent evening for Gabriel Carvahlo as well, as the Brazilian forward scored the opening goal in the 11th minute on the assist by Jack O'Riordan. Carvahlo added two assists, one in each half. O'Riordan scored a goal of his own in the 39th minute, his first in a Lions uniform.

Kenneth Ramirez got in on the scoring action in the 20th minute, his second goal of the season, and freshman Tyler Robinson scored the first goal of his Freed-Hardeman career in the 90th minute.

Both Calum Langdale and Hunter Thompson saw time in the net, with both recording two saves.

The Lions will hit the road on Thursday when they take on Lincoln Christian University. Kick-off is set for 4 p.m.
