Box Score JACKSON, Tenn. – The Lions soccer team (5-6, 1-5 MSC) fell 2-1 in a tight contest to Life University (4-5-1, 2-3-1 MSC) on Saturday afternoon.
After a stalemate of a first half, the Running Eagles broke the 0-0 tie with a quick goal in the 49th minute.
The Lions quickly responded on a corner from Jack O'Riordan, which found the head of Ian Matheus in the 52nd minute.
Neither team could break through to take a lead for the majority of the second half until Jinwoo Kang scored with less than three minutes to go to give Life the lead and the win.
Calum Langdale recorded four saves in the contest.
The Lions will be back in action when they host No. 14 Lindsey Wilson at the University School of Jackson. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
