Box Score GEORGETOWN, Ky. – The Lions soccer team (7-10, 3-8 MSC) fell 2-0 to Georgetown College (11-5-1, 5-5-1 MSC) on Tuesday night in the first round of the Mid-South Conference Tournament.
After 35 minutes of scoreless action, the Tigers broke the stalemate with a goal in the 36th minute, following a second goal less than five minutes later to take their 2-0 lead into the break.
The Lions offense turned things up a notch in the second half, outshooting the Tigers 11-5 in the period. But with only one of those shots being on frame and saved, they were unable to get back into the game.
Calum Langdale had four saves in the game, and Joao Pedro and Ian Matheus had both of FHU's shots on goal.
