Box Score CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The Lions soccer team (2-6, 2-5 MSC) fell 3-2 on Tuesday to Campbellsville (9-3-2, 4-2-2 MSC).
Campbellsville went up 2-0 nothing in the first half, scoring goals in the 11th and 30th minutes.
The Lions cut the lead in half just before halftime in the 40th minute when Joao Souto scored his first goal of the season on the assist by Christian Sachs.
The Lions were able to tie things up after the break when Kenneth Ramirez scored his team-leading sixth goal of the season in the 49th minute, but that was erased a little over 10 minutes later when the Tigers were able to take a 3-2 lead, which they held until time expired.
Omer Shifris recorded five saves in his Lions debut in the goal.
The Lions will be back in action on Friday when they travel to No. 23 Bethel to make up a game that was postponed earlier in the year. Game time is set for 4:30 p.m.
