WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. – The Lions soccer team (2-4, 2-3 MSC) fell 1-0 to the University of the Cumberlands (4-5-2, 4-2-1 MSC) in a contest where defense was the highlight.

There were only three shots on goal, total in the contest, with the Patriots only having one. That one would go on to punish the Lions in the 74th minute when Cumberlands was able to get on the board to break the 0-0 tie.

The Lions had a strong chance as time was expiring with two corner kicks, but they were unable to find the back of the net.

The Lions are scheduled to be back in action on Sunday when they travel to No. 7 Lindsey Wilson. Game time is set for 5 p.m.
