Box Score WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. – The Lions soccer team (2-1) dropped its first game of the season on Tuesday when they fell 3-1 to Williams Baptist (3-0)
The Eagles got off to a quick and hot start, scoring in just the seventh minute on a free kick that was deflected into the back of the net.
After trailing 1-0 at halftime, the Lions were able to even the score when Stefan Cekic scored just a little over three minutes into the period in the 49th minute on the assist from Joao Pedro.
About 15 minutes later, Williams Baptist took the lead in the 64th minute, and they were able to put the game out of reach with their third goal in the 75th minute.
Calum Langdale had three saves in goal.
The Lions will be back in action on Thursday, September 9, when they host another former AMC foe Central Baptist. Kick-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
