HENDERSON — The Freed-Hardeman University Lady Lions returned to the court on Saturday, February 17 where the topped the Owls of the Mississippi University for Women 6-1.

In the doubles round for the Lady Lions (2-2), Morgan Brown and Hannah Pearce took care of business on the No. 1 court with a 6-0 victory. On No. 2 and No. 3, both Lady Lions pairs won 6-1 with Kennley Kirk and Elise Kruzan taking the win on court two, with Savannah Corbitt and Marliemekenna Thompson winning on court three.

Morgan Brown swept through her MUW (0-6) opponent 6-0, 6-0 on the No. 3 court while Hannah Pearce answered a 6-1 first set with a 6-0 second to win on court two. On the No. 1 court, Elise Kruzan bested her opponent 6-0, 6-2, with Kennley Kirk winning her match 6-2, 6-0. Savannah Corbitt picked up a 6-0, 6-1 victory on court five while Marliemekenna Thompson fell 6-2, 6-2 on court six.
