MEMPHIS, Tenn. — After having their previous two matched postponed by rain, the Freed-Hardeman University Lady Lions lost to the Christian Brothers (Tenn.) University Bucs 6-1 on Tuesday, March 12.

With their lone point coming by way of default, the Lady Lions (2-5) were able to win one game across doubles round with Kennley Kirk and Elise Kruzan falling 6-1 on court 2. Morgan Brown and Hannah Pearce fell 6-0 as did Savannah Corbitt and Shiloh Grisham.

Elise Kruzan forced an extra game in the first set against her CBU (7-6) opponent, but ultimately fell 7-5, 1-6. Hannah Pearce lost her match 6-2, 6-3, while Morgan Brown dropped her match 6-2, 6-1. Kennley Kirk was bested in her match after forcing an extra game but ultimately falling 6-1, 7-5. Savannah Corbitt ended her day with a 6-0, 6-2 defeat. Shiloh Grisham was scheduled to play on the No. 6 court, but a CBU withdrawal gave her the win.
