An evenly-matched first half saw both the Lions (10-6-1, 1-5-0 MSC) and the Blue Raiders fire off eight shots. After Mahlaha had back-to-back shots on goal, one of the eight shots in the half for LWU was a penalty kick at 10:35 that was successful to take a 1-0 lead.Â
Lindsey Wilson (11-2-1, 4-2-0 MSC) struck quickly in the second frame with a goal at 52:38. Sparks and Nong would force the LWU keeper to make saves before the Blue Raiders added another goal in the 63rd minute. Mahlaha would sky a long pass that drew the keeper from his net where Samuel Segabago was able to chip in the lone FHU goal at 81:09.
FHU out-shot LWU 18-14 in the loss.
