MCKENZIE, Tenn. — The Freed-Hardeman University Lady Lions battled the Mighty Oaks of Oakland City (Ind.) University February 28. The Mighty Oaks got the better of FHU in a 4-0 sweep.
Morgan Brown and
Elise Kruzan fell six games to none as did Cecily David and
Kennley Kirk. Though unfinished,
Hannah Pearce and
Suri Gomez were in a tight 4-3 battle.
In singles,
Elise Kruzan was behind on the No. 1 court 6-2, 2-1 in an unfinished match. Also not coming to completion was
Morgan Brown who had the match called at 6-2, 6-5 in favor of OCU.
Suri Gomez had a solid game cut short after winning the first set and ending the second early with a score of 6-3, 1-3.
Hannah Pearce took a 6-2, 6-0 loss on the No. 4 court while
Kennley Kirk fell 6-0, 6-1.
Cecily Davis wrapped up the scoring with a 6-3, 6-0 loss.
