JACKSON, Tenn. — The Freed-Hardeman University Lady Lions tennis team celebrated their seniors before a battle with the No. 2/8 Lindsey Wilson University Blue Raiders. Facing three ranked doubles pairs and four ranked singles opponents, the Lady Lions fell, 7-0.
The Lady Lions (4-11, 1-5 MSC) fell on all three doubles courts, 6-0.
Vanessa Avila Padilla and
Suri Gomez fell to the country's No. 6 duo while
Morgan Brown and
Elise Kruzan faced the No. 5 doubles team. On the final court,
Anna Harder and
Audrey Harder came up short to the Blue Raiders' No. 36 pair.
On the No. 6 court,
Audrey Harder had the best battle against the Blue Raiders (13-1, 6-0 MSC), falling to her opponent 6-2, 6-2.
Morgan Brown took two games from the No. 39 player, but ultimately fell 6-2, 6-0.
Elise Kruzan picked up a game in the second set against the nation's No. 52 singles player, but lost 6-0, 6-1.
Suri Gomez battled the No. 10 player on the No. 1 court, falling 6-0, 6-0. Facing the highest-ranked Blue Raider on the No. 4 court,
Anna Harder fell to the No. 6 Blue Raider 6-0, 6-0.
Kennley Kirk wrapped up the Lady Lions' effort with a 6-0, 6-0 defeat.
