HENDERSON — The spring season is one of the busiest for Freed-Hardeman University athletics with nine sports competing. That also means a plethora of student-athletes are celebrated for academic and character accomplishments.
The Champions of Character initiative recognizes a student-athlete for their adherence to the five core values: integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership. Nominated by their coaches, the following student-athletes were celebrated:

In addition to the Champions of Character, 117 student-athletes qualified at least for Academic All-Conference. To qualify, a student-athlete must be in at least their second full year (or third semester) and maintain an institutional GPA of 3.25 or higher. Additional student-athletes may qualify for the NAIA Scholar Athlete award if they maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher.
