Five Things to Know:
1. Home Sweet Home
After opening the season with a pair of road matches, the Lions finally return to Henderson Tuesday for their 2026 home opener. Freed-Hardeman hosts Blue Mountain Christian at 7 p.m. at the Josh Riley Soccer Complex.
2. Eight Goals, Seven Scorers
The Lions exploded for eight goals in their season-opening victory over Talladega, with seven different players finding the back of the net. Reigning MSC Offensive Player of the Week Adrian Mann led the way with two goals, while Paolo Sparks, Sam Sebagabo, Martin Theissen, Noah Setterberg and Marko Ngabrano also scored.
3. Locked Down
FHU followed its eight-goal outburst by posting a clean sheet in Saturday's 0-0 draw at Hannibal-LaGrange. The Lions have allowed just one goal through their first two matches and enter Tuesday with a 0.50 goals-against average.
4. Creating Chances
Through two matches, the Lions have put 13 of their 22 shots on target, good for a .591 shots-on-goal percentage. FHU also has eight assists on its eight goals, showing how well the attack has worked collectively.
5. Familiar Foe
Blue Mountain Christian enters Tuesday's matchup at 1-0 after opening its season with a 2-0 victory over LSU Alexandria. The Lions own a 3-1-1 record over the last five meetings against the Toppers, including a 0-0 draw in last year's meeting in Blue Mountain.
