Box Score HENDERSON — The defense for Freed-Hardeman men's soccer team stood strong in Saturday's matchup with the visiting Mission (Mo.) University Patriots. The hosts did not allow a single shot in a 3-0 victory.
Just under five minutes into the game, Freed-Hardeman (3-0-3) took the lead on
Noah Setterberg's fourth goal of the season with an assist from
Martin Theissen. In the 16th minute, Theissen himself would net a goal after he took a pass from
Henry Appiah and scored his season's second goal. At 39:59,
Alex Wright scored his second goal in as many matches with an assist from
Sam Sebagabo to give the Lions a 3-0 halftime lead.
The Lions sent 10 shots the Patriot (0-3-0) keeper's way in the first half, before adding eight more in the second half. 10 of FHU's 18 total shots were on target with Setterberg getting off five shots with three on goal.
