Lions Blow Out SUNO

Box Score
HENDERSON, Tenn. - The Freed-Hardeman Lions used first-half runs of 12-0 and 13-0 to build a 25 point halftime lead en route to a 95-48 win over visiting Southern University New Orleans on Friday night.
FHU jumped out to a 12-2 lead, scoring 12 unanswered points while going 5-of-5 from the floor to start the game. The quick start set the pace for the rest of the game, which was never in doubt after the 13-0 run that put the Lions up by 20.
Zack Frey scored 12 of his 14 points in the first half, and spent much of the second half - along with rest of FHU's starters - on the bench while the Lion reserves took care of the rest of the game. The Freed-Hardeman bench accounted for 62 of the team's 95 points, led by Tyler Jennings' 17 points on 8-of-12 shooting. Cedric Austin added 11 points.
The Lions play host to Campbellsville (Ky.) University tomorrow at 4:00 PM in their final game before returning to conference play on January 8. Campbellsville lost to Union (Tenn.) University earlier in the day, 86-65.
