NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Freed-Hardeman's Zack Frey was named the TranSouth Athletic Conference men's basketball player of the week for the week ending Feb. 10, 2008.

Frey, a 6-foot-8 sophomore from Nashville, led the Lions to a 2-1 week that included a road win over then-No. 16 Cumberland University (Tenn.). Frey scored a career-high 34 points in a 96-89 loss to No. 8 Lambuth University (Tenn.) and posted 27 points in just 20 minutes in FHU's 143-83 win over Blue Mountain College (Miss.).

For the week, Frey averaged 27.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks per game. He is averaging 17.5 points per game on the season and 19.9 points per game in conference play.

The Lions are 16-7 on the season and 8-6 in TranSouth Conference play.
