Box Score KANSAS CITY - The Freed-Hardeman University Lady Lion volleyball team moved a few steps closer to entering the NAIA Top 25 for the first time in program history in the latest Tachikara-NAIA national ratings.

The 5-0 Lady Lions moved up six spots to No. 27, receiving 79 total votes. They received 48 total votes in the pre-season poll. The position matches the highest ranking in school history, when the Lady Lions were ranked in the same spot in the 2005 pre-season poll.

After winning all four of its matches in the Mazzio's Invitational in Branson, Mo., Freed-Hardeman opens conference play on Thursday, Sept. 11, at Mid-Continent (Ky.) University.
