Box Score HENDERSON, Tenn. - It did not take long for a Lion or Lady Lion to be named a basketball player of the week, with
Kyle Teichmann being named the TranSouth Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 13.
Teichmann, a 6-foot-6 junior forward from Brentwood, Tenn., scored 27 points and grabbed nine rebounds in each of his games this week. Teichmann led the Lions to a 95-78 win over NCAA Division II Henderson State (Ark.) University with 10-of-15 shooting from the field and 7-9 shooting from the free throw line. In a loss to No. 12 Shorter (Ga.) University, Teichmann was 10-17 from the field.
For the week he averaged 27 points and nine rebounds while shooting 62 percent (20-32) from the field and 65 percent (13-20) from the foul line. In the win over Henderson State, Teichmann surpassed the 1000 career point total during the week.
It is the fifth time Teichmann has been named conference player of the week during his career. He received the honor four times last season.
