Box Score 2 HENDERSON, Tenn. - The Freed-Hardeman Lady Lions' quest for a third straight TranSouth Conference championship begins on Monday in Pulaski, Tenn., at the 2011 TranSouth Volleyball Championships.
FHU (22-7, 11-1) shared the regular season championship banner with Bethel (Tenn.) University. However, Freed-Hardeman enters the tournament as the No. 2 seed as Bethel took the top seed based on tiebreaker proceedings.
The Lady Lions open the tournament against seventh-seeded Mid-Continent (Ky.) University at 2:00 PM.

Fernanda Ferreira leads the conference in hitting percentage (.324) and is second in kills per set (3.1). FHU had three of the top five attackers in hitting percentage and leads the conference as a team with a percentage of .242. The Lady Lions also lead the conference in kills per set with 12.3.
Freed-Hardeman enters the tournament on a high note, having just defeated No. 10 Indiana Tech at the Boneyard Brawl in Georgetown, Ky., where FHU won three of four matches.
