JACKSON, Miss. - For the second time in four days, the No. 6 Freed-Hardeman Lady Lions traveled to Jackson, Miss., and pulled out a narrow win over No. 25 Belhaven (Miss.) University.

Friday's win wasn't quite as dramatic, as the Lady Lions pulled away late to pick up a 65-56 win over the Blazers at the Tougaloo (Miss.) College Classic.

On Tuesday, FHU overcame a 17-point second-half deficit to win by one.

The Lady Lions got 18 points apiece from Maria Bagwell and Natalie Shumpert, while Bagwell continued her dominance on the boards with 17 rebounds for her second straight double-double.

Freed-Hardeman finished up the classic with a game against host Tougaloo at 6:00 PM.
