VOLLEYBALL MATCHDAY: FHU at Lindenwood-Belleville

HENDERSON, Tenn. - After a two-week layoff, the Freed-Hardeman Lady Lions return to action with the first of four road matches to close the regular season as they visit Lindenwood-Belleville (Ill.) for a 7:00 PM match.

SETTING THE STAGE
Tonight will be the first-ever meeting between FHU and Lindenwood-Belleville. The Lady Lions need to win two of their last four matches to secure a spot in the conference tournament. FHU (8-12, 3-5) looks to break a three-match losing streak while the Lynx (16-11, 7-4) are fighting for the fourth spot in the conference standings and a chance to host a first-round tournament match.

NEWS, NOTES AND NUMBERS
- Stephanie Cathcart has been a force for the Lynx this season, leading the team in both kills (2.42 per set) and blocks (108). The junior middle blocker from Trenton, Ill., ranks 32nd in the NAIA in total blocks and 41st in hitting percentage (.303).
- As a team, the Lynx are one of the best in the nation in service aces, ranking 20th in total aces with 201. Taylor Boyer ranks 43rd in the NAIA with 43. Chelsi Hummert is just behind her with 36 aces.
- FHU will look to snap a three-match losing streak, all of which have been in straight sets. Allie Moss still ranks among the best in the NAIA in kills per set with 4.26. Freshman Kiyla Glasper has emerged as a good second option, averaging 2.16 kills per set.
- Of the Lady Lions' 20 matches this year, 14 have been in straight sets. FHU is 4-10 in those matches. The Lynx have won seven of their 16 matches in straight sets.
