BELLEVILLE, Ill. - Lindenwood-Belleville (Ill.) used a series of sustained runs in all three sets on its way to a 3-0 win over Freed-Hardeman on Friday night.

The Lady Lions got off to a good start, taking the first four points of the match, but soon thereafter the Lynx rolled off five straight and then used another five-point run to take a 16-8 lead. Freed-Hardeman took the next three points, but never got close as LU-B took points on eight of the last nine rallies of the set to close out a 25-13 win in set one.

The Lynx again pulled away midway through the second set with points on eight of nine rallies to go ahead, 18-10. FHU got back within five points before Lindenwood-Belleville again closed it out late, taking seven of the last nine rallies of the set to win 25-15.

A five-point rally in the third set helped Freed-Hardeman overcome a deficit and take a 15-14 lead. The two teams played side-out for the next few rallies before, again, the Lynx finished strong. LU-B used a pair of four-point runs, including the final four points of the set, to win 25-20 and complete the sweep.

FHU (8-13, 3-6) struggled with errors the entire match, hitting just .012 and making 16 attack errors. The Lady Lions also committed six service errors and seven reception errors.

Allie Moss was the only Lady Lion in double-digits in kills with 11. Michelle Bennett had 14 digs.
