KANSAS CITY - Despite losing their first game of the season, the Freed-Hardeman Lady Lions remained at No. 2 in the latest edition of the NAIA Division I Women's Basketball Coaches Poll released on Tuesday, Feb. 18.

Freed-Hardeman (24-1, 16-1) saw its 24-game winning streak broken on Saturday in an 81-72 loss at Lyon (Ark.) College, leaving No. 1 Vanguard (Calif.) as the only unbeaten team in the NAIA. FHU is 7-1 this season against teams in this week's top 25 including wins over No. 4 Oklahoma Baptist, No. 7 The Master's (Calif.), No. 9 Westmont (Calif.) and No. 12 Columbia (Mo.).

Lyon made its return to the top 25 after the win over Freed-Hardeman, jumping up to No. 21 to give the American Midwest Conference three teams in the rankings.
