HENDERSON, Tenn. - The No. 1 Freed-Hardeman Lady Lions wrap up a three-game road trip with a visit to Stephens (Mo.) College today at 2:00 PM.

SETTING THE STAGE
The Lady Lions got a monkey off their backs on Thursday with a road win over No. 20 Lyon (Ark.), their first win in Batesville since 2010. The win gave them a 2.5 game lead in the American Midwest Conference standings. Stephens (2-13, 2-8) is looking to break a four-game skid while facing their third NAIA Top 25 opponent this week.

LAST TIME THEY MET
FHU tied the program record for fewest points allowed in a game as the Lady Lions breezed to an 84-19 win on Jan. 30, 2014. Cynthia Woodward led all scorers with 18 points.

INSIDE THE SERIES
Last year marked the first-ever meeting between the schools, and FHU won both handily.

BREAKING THE CURSE OF BATESVILLE
On Thursday, the Lady Lions earned their first win at Lyon (Ark.) since 2010, pulling away late for a 72-61 win over the 20th-ranked Scots. Lyon had won three straight games against FHU at home, with the last two breaking 20- and 24-game winning streaks. Hayley Newby returned after a two-game absence with 17 points and 11 rebounds.

MILLENIUM AND A HALF
Hayley Newby became the 12th player in Lady Lion history to reach 1500 career points, getting there late in the first half of Thursday's win over Lyon. She is the first player to reach the milestone since Natalie Shumpert in 2011.

CLOSING IN ON 1000
Grace Alonso de Armino needs 15 rebounds to reach 1000 for her career and become only the fifth player in program history to hit the mark. Hayley Newby also has a chance to get there, entering today with 892 rebounds.

DOUBLE-DOUBLE MACHINES
Newby and Alonso de Armino combined for 47 double-doubles last year, and they have picked up where they left off during this season. Alonso de Armino has 14 double-doubles in 16 games while Newby has seven in 14 games.

STILL ON TOP
Alonso de Armino continues to lead the NAIA in rebounding (14.6 per game) and offensive rebounding (6.5 per game). As a team, the Lady Lions lead the nation in offensive rebounds per game with 18.9. Alonso de Armino is currently on pace to break the program's single-season rebound record (437, Qiana Elam).

ANOTHER OPTION
Junior guard Brandee Busenlehner has given FHU another scoring option as of late. She has scored in double-figures in each of the team's last three games, averaging 14.3 points per game while shooting 48 percent (12-of-25) from 3-point range. She now averages 8.0 points per game for the season, nearly giving the Lady Lions five players who average in double-digits.

SCOUTING THE STARS
Stephens has struggled in first halves of games this season but has performed much better after halftime. The team is led by Dana Heggeman, who averages 14.1 points, 7.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game. They have been susceptible on the defensive end, allowing opponents to shoot 46.7 percent from the field an average 82.7 points per game.
