SETTING THE STAGE
The No. 6 Lions (13-2, 9-1) will likely drop a few spots in tomorrow's poll after losing at Williams Baptist (Ark.) last week, but they stayed atop the AMC with a road win over Lyon (Ark.) on Thursday. Cumberland (6-10, 2-3 MSC) recently snapped a five-game skid with a 16-point win over Indiana-Southeast. However, they have had some narrow losses to nationally-ranked teams this year.

LAST TIME THEY MET
FHU got 24 points from Cameron Lewis and a double-double from Vincent Dotson (12 points, 13 rebounds) as the Lions pulled away in the second half for an 81-66 win at Cumberland on Nov. 17, 2014.

INSIDE THE SERIES
Freed-Hardeman has won two in a row in the series to up its all-time lead to 36-27 over the Bulldogs. Before that, Cumberland had won four straight games in the series. Neither team has ever won more than five straight games against the other.

BOUNCING BACK
The Lions bounced back from their first conference loss of the season last week with an important 81-69 win at Lyon (Ark.) College on Thursday. With the win, FHU holds a 1.5-game lead over Columbia (Mo.) in the conference standings as the midpoint of the conference schedule approaches.

TIME CHANGE
Tonight's tip-off time was moved to 7:00 PM from the original schedule time of 8:00 PM.

3-POINT EFFICIENCY
Thursday's game broke a streak of three straight contests in which FHU made 10 or more 3-pointers, but the Lions made the most of their attempts in going 8-of-16 from behind the arc. The 16 attempts were the second-fewest FHU has taken in a game this season. Freed-Hardeman ranks fifth in the NAIA in 3-pointers made per game (9.2) and 14th in 3-point percentage (39.1).

RHYMES WITH THREES
Ben Meis was held to nine points in Thurrsday's win, but he has still been a consistent threat from behind the arc for the Lions for the majority of the season. He has scored 20 or more points in seven of his last 10 games while knocking down 42 3-pointers in that stretch. He had three straight games of six 3's before Thursday's game.

INSTANT IMPACT
Isaiah Harrison played a key role in FHU's win over Lyon on Thursday in his second game back. The 6-foot-8 junior scored 15 points and grabbed six boards to give the Lions an inside presence to counter Lyon post Ben Worlow.

DROPPING DIMES
Junior guard Evan Forhetz still leads the NAIA in assists per game (7.3) despite having totals below his average in both games last week. He also ranks 10th in the nation in assist-to-turnover ratio (3.1), 17th in steals (2.2) and 33rd in 3-point percentage (44.1).

GOT IT BACK
Senior Cameron Lewis is back on track after a three-game slump in December. Lewis is averaging 19.8 points per game in January while shooting 53.6 percent from the floor and 52.3 percent from 3-point range.

THRILLING FINISH
The last time these two teams played in Henderson, the Lions mounted a thrilling comeback. FHU overcame a 10-point deficit with under two minutes to play to force overtime, and went on to a 103-95 win on Dec. 4, 2012. Orlando Bass scored 20 points while Damion Wooten added 16, including the basket that sent the game to overtime.

SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
Cumberland's record may be a bit deceiving as the Bulldogs come into tonight's game with a 6-10 overall mark, but six of those losses have come against ranked opponents - and three of those were by single digits. Cumberland generally plays a slow, grinding pace, putting a premium on each possession. The team only has one player averaging in double digits on the season, as Josh Wilkerson scores 12.9 points per game. However, seven other players average at least 5.4 points per game.
