SETTING THE STAGE
FHU (12-2, 8-1) was handed its first conference loss on Tuesday by Williams Baptist (Ark.), and the Lions need a win tonight in order to stay in first place over opponent Lyon (9-5, 6-1). The Scots beat Williams Baptist at home on Saturday.

LAST TIME THEY MET
The Lions grinded out a 56-33 win over Lyon on Feb. 15, 2014, leading for nearly the entire game. Orlando Bass scored a game-high 16 points in the win.

INSIDE THE SERIES
Freed-Hardeman won both matchups last year to increase its series lead to 24-14 over Lyon. FHU has won 12 straight games in the series, with Lyon's last win coming on Feb. 8, 2007.

DEJA VU ALL OVER AGAIN
In FHU's loss on Tuesday to Williams Baptist, the finish was very similar to last year's finish when WBC upset the Lions in Henderson. Last year, the Eagles went on a late 13-0 run to post a come-from-behind win. On Tuesday, they used a late 14-1 run to turn a six-point deficit into a 68-67 win.

RHYMES WITH THREES
The Lions on the whole struggled with their shooting on Tuesday, except for Ben Meis who stayed hot. The senior was 6-of-9 from 3-point range and scored 24 points, the seventh time in the last nine games that he has scored at least 20. He is now shooting 41.4 percent from behind the arc for the season. At his current pace, he will challenge the school record for most 3-pointers made in a season (109, held by Nathan Aaron).

SLOW RETURN
The Lions welcomed Debrell McLemore and Isaiah Harrison back to the lineup on Tuesday, but both showed some signs of rust. McLemore was 0-of-9 from the floor while Harrison was whistled for four fouls. Expect to see their numbers improve dramatically as they get reaccustomed to game pace.

LEADING THE NATION
Evan Forhetz only had five assists on Tuesday but he still leads the nation in assist average with 7.4 per game. The junior transfer from Lee (Tenn.) University has dished out eight or more assists six times this season.

SCOUTING THE SCOTS
As they often do, the Scots generally rely on low-possession basketball and accurate 3-point shooting to win games. This year, though, has also seen the emergence of senior post Ben Worlow as a force inside. Worlow is averaging 17.8 points and 6.1 rebounds per game while shooting 59.6 percent from the field. He has provided a nice compliment to 3-point threats Devonte Young (28 made, 38.4 percent) and Riley Jenkins (36 made, 48.0 percent). Lyon ranks seventh in the NAIA in 3-point percentage (41.2 percent) and holds opponents to 58.2 points per game, third-best in the nation.
