LAST TIME THEY MET
Freed-Hardeman hosted Martin Methodist earlier in the season on September 8, where the Lady Lions were able to pick up a win in their home opener at the Brewer Sports Center in four sets (25-21, 23-25, 25-20, 25-18).
FHU controlled the first set with solid play from Kiyla Glasper and Allie Moss pacing the attack. The Lady Lions were able to win four of the first five points of the set to provide a slight cushion to begin the match, which would prove to be all they needed as they secured the first set 25-21.
Martin Methodist rallied in the second set with solid play from Ashlyn Lam-Ho Anduha, one of the top offensive performers for the Redhawks. Freed-Hardeman was able to get within two points of the lead after being down by as many as six in the set before the Redhawks were able to close it out 25-23.
FHU was able to comfortably take the final two sets of the game (25-20, 25-18) with solid play from Glasper and Moss along with several assists from Emily Humphry and Sara Denton.
Coming off a two game losing streak, the Lady Lions will look to get back on track in a non conference match up tonight at 7:00 PM as they take on the Redhawks of Martin Methodist.
