SETTING THE STAGE
No. 2 Freed-Hardeman (23-2, 18-1) earned a share of the regular season conference title on Tuesday with a loss by Columbia (Mo.), and can take it outright with a win tonight over Lyon. A little over a month ago, the Scots (14-12, 11-8) sat in second place in conference but have gone 5-7 over their last 12 games.

LAST TIME THEY MET
The Lions went on a 16-1 run early in the second half to pull away from the Scots and pick up an 81-69 win in Batesville on Jan. 8. Cameron Lewis had 18 points while Evan Forhetz had 16 and Isaiah Harrison had 15 (box score).

INSIDE THE SERIES
FHU has won 13 straight games over the Scots and leads the all-time series, 25-14. Lyon's last win came on Feb. 8, 2007.

CONFERENCE CLINCHER
The Lions' game on Tuesday night with Williams Baptist (Ark.) was postponed due to weather, but FHU still was able to clinch a share of the regular season conference title and home-court advantage through the conference tournament after Park (Mo.) upset Columbia (Mo.) to extend Freed-Hardeman's lead to three games with three to play. FHU can secure the conference title outright with a win in any of its last three games.

SENIOR NIGHT
In what was supposed to be the final regular season home game of the season before Tuesday's postponement, the Lions will honor their six seniors before the game: Cameron Lewis, Ben Meis, Vincent Dotson, Seth Weaver, Chandler Mack and Debrell McLemore.

FOUR SCORE
FHU has thrived off a "big three" all season with Cameron Lewis (17.8 ppg), Evan Forhetz (14.6 ppg) and Ben Meis (13.4 ppg) providing the majority of the offense. But now Isaiah Harrison has given the Lions a fourth double-digit scorer since returning in January. The 6-foot-8 junior has upped his average to 11.1 points per game while also grabbing 8.2 rebounds per game. He's also shooting 61.6 percent from the field.

ROAD TO 200
FHU head coach Jason Shelton is closing in on his 200th career win, entering tonight's game with 195 in his 10 years at Freed-Hardeman. His career winning percentage of .607 is the best in men's program history. He would be only the second coach in Lion history to reach 200 career wins.

STILL RISING
For the fourth week in a row, the Lions moved up one spot in the NAIA national rankings. This week, FHU climbed to No. 2 marking the program's highest ranking since reaching No. 1 on Jan. 28, 2014. Freed-Hardeman has been ranked in the top 10 in 18 of the last 19 polls.

RAINING THREES
Tonight's game will feature two of the top 3-point shooting teams in the NAIA. FHU ranks sixth in 3's made per game (8.8) and ninth in 3-point percentage (39.4 percent) while Lyon leads the nation in 3-point percentage (41.6 percent) and makes an average of 7.2 per game. the Lions have three players shooting better than 40 percent from behind the arc - Cameron Lewis (44.0), Evan Forhetz (47.1) and Ben Meis (40.2).

SCOUTING THE SCOTS
Lyon got off to a hot start in conference play and rose to receive votes in the NAIA national rankings, but have lost seven of their last 12 and slipped into sixth place in the AMC standings. In addition to their 3-point shooting, they have one of the best post scorers in the conference in Ben Worlow (15.6 ppg) who dropped 29 against FHU in their last meeting. Guards Riley Jenkins (10.3 ppg, 49.2 percent from 3) and Devonte Young (12.4 ppg, 40.1 percent from 3) provide balance on the perimeter.
