By Matt Barker, Sports Information Director

HENDERSON, Tenn. - The Freed-Hardeman Lady Lion volleyball team will look to extend their winning streak to five as they host Bethel University tonight at 7:00 in the Brewer Sports Center.

SETTING THE STAGE

The Lady Lions (6-3) are coming off a solid 3-1 win over non-conference opponent Martin Methodist (Tenn) College last Tuesday night. Allie Moss led the Lady Lions in total offense with 20 kills followed by Kiyla Glasper with 18. Emily Humphry dished out 28 assists while Michelle Bennett contributed on the defensive end with 49 digs.

Bethel (Tenn.) University (7-6) is coming off a win over Brewton Parker on September 12 in straight sets. Elisa Sales led Bethel in the match with 19 kills while Maddie Morris contributed with 25 assists.

FHU will look to continue building on its strong play in their non-conference schedule tonight as they prepare for conference action next week.

LAST TIME THEY MET

Freed-Hardeman faced off against Bethel twice last season and on both occasions were swept 3-0. During the meeting between the two teams on September 16, Bethel hosted FHU and took close victories in the first two sets, then took control early in the third and was able to send the Lady Lions home early in straight sets (26-24, 25-22, 25-16).

Freed-Hardeman hosted Bethel on October 16, a match where FHU was able to get out to a hot start before Bethel was able to organize their attack and come back to defeat the Lady Lions for a second time in straight sets.

FHU will look to rebound from the series sweep last season and put together a solid win over the Wildcats tonight.

WHO TO WATCH

Allie Moss has continued to put up impressive numbers on the attack and leads FHU in kills, averaging 3.76 kills per set. Moss has accumulated 144 kills so far this season. The Lady Lions will have a good chance to come away with their seventh win of the season if Moss continues her strong play.

Michelle Bennett has been impressive on the defensive end, coming off a 49-dig performance against Martin Methodist last Tuesday. Bennett currently sits at an impressive 197 digs for the season.
