Box Score

By Matt Barker, Sports Information Director

HENDERSON, Tenn. - The Freed-Hardeman Lady Lions look to continue their momentum from this past weekend, coming off of three straight wins at the Faulkner Invitational, as they host Martin Methodist (Tenn.) College for the first home match of the season.

SETTING THE STAGE

The Lady Lions (5-3) are coming off two straight weekends of tournament play. FHU was able to split the matches they played during their first weekend of action at the Milligan Mountain Madness tournament, winning two of the four matches they played.

This past weekend at the Faulkner Invitational the Lady Lions did one better and came away with three wins out of the four games they played, including a win against tournament host Faulkner (Ala.) University (7-4) in five sets.

Martin Methodist (Tenn.) College (1-8) opened their season with seven straight losses. However, the Redhawks were able to pick up a win in straight sets this past weekend at the College of Coastal Georgia Tournament against Bryan College- a team that is currently receiving votes.

Tonight's non-conference matchup against Martin Methodist will allow FHU to continue building on its strong play in preparation for conference action next week.
