HENDERSON, Tenn. - The No. 19 Freed-Hardeman Lion basketball team will look to bounce back tonight following a three-game conference slide last week as they host St. Louis College of Pharmacy in a 7:30 PM matchup at the Brewer Sports Center.

SETTING THE STAGE

FHU (12-5, 6-3 AMC) enters tonight's matchup coming off a 105-98 loss to William Woods (Mo.) University (12-6, 8-2 AMC) on Saturday. The loss was reminiscent of FHU's previous loss on Thursday, Jan. 7 against No. 4 Columbia (Mo.) - a game that saw the Lions fall behind late in the first half, which caused them to play from behind the entire second half. Similar to Thursday night, a comeback would ensue to close the gap to six points, but it would not be enough as the Lions would drop their third straight conference game of the season.

FHU had plenty of offense to go around as five Lion players reached double figures in the matchup, led by Orlando Bass who finished with 27 points, five rebounds and four assists. Austin Dempsey also put up solid minutes and had 15 points and pulled down six rebounds.

Evan Forhetz, the leading assist man in the NAIA, lived up to his reputation and delivered a double-double performance with 14 points and 10 assists while Isaiah Harrison nearly put up a double-double of his own with 14 points and nine rebounds. Freshman Sean Edwards came off the bench for the Lions and contributed 10 points.

The Lions shot 46.1 percent in the game compared to William Woods who shot an impressive 55.4 percent from the field and 55 percent from three-point range. The Owls were unstoppable in the first half as they shot 64.3 percent from three-point range in the first half, which proved to be all they needed to pick up the 105-98 victory.

SCOUTING THE EUTECTICS

St. Louis College of Pharmacy (0-11, 0-9 AMC) enters tonight's matchup coming off a 100-46 loss to fellow AMC conference opponent Missouri Baptist University on January 7 to suffer their eleventh loss of the season.

St. Louis College of Pharmacy is led by Colton Frazer, who leads the team in three categories including points per game (11.82), rebounds per game (6.64) and blocks (0.36). Kyle Jones leads the Eutectics in assists as he dishes out 1.91 assists per game and has compiled 21 assists throughout the first 11 games of the season.

As a team, St. Louis College of Pharmacy averages 45.1 points per game and have shot 29.9 percent from the field and 23.8 percent from behind the arc. The Eutectics average 24.9 rebounds per game and have a -14.4 rebound margin and -6.6 turnover margin for the season.

Overall, St. Louis College of Pharmacy enters Thursday's matchup with a record of 0-11 on the season and 0-9 record in the American Midwest Conference.

The Lions lead the all-time series between the two schools 2-0. The last time FHU faced the Eutectics was last season on January 24, 2015 as the Lions came away with a 100-77 victory at the Brewer Sports Center.
