The Lions matched up evenly with MBU on the glass as each team pulled down 41 rebounds in the contest; however, the Spartans would win the turnover battle as they forced 16 turnovers on the Lions, which led to easy buckets on the other end of the floor.

FHU struggled to maintain consistency on the offensive end as they shot just 42 percent from the field compared to Missouri Baptist (19-11, 14-8 AMC), who shot 47 percent from the field and 44 percent from behind the arc. The Lions had one of their worst shooting performances of the season from behind the arc as they shot just 33 percent from three-point range. The Spartans, on the other hand, exploded from behind the arc in the second half as they shot a season-high 67 percent from three-point range to secure the victory.
