GAME NOTES
SETTING THE STAGE
FHU (25-6) enters tonight's matchup coming off an impressive 91-71 victory over Lindenwood (Ill.) University-Belleville (13-17) in the AMC Quarterfinals on Wednesday.
Isaiah Harrison led the Lions on the offensive end and recorded his seventeenth double-double of the season in the process as he put up 19 points and pulled down 15 rebounds. Evan Forhetz and Orlando Bass would join Harrison in the double-double club as Forhetz finished the game with 15 points and 10 assists while Bass chipped in 12 points and pulled down 10 rebounds.
FHU came out firing to start the game as they shot 57 percent from the field on their way to an impressive first half shooting performance. The Lions finished the day shooting 47 percent from the field and 26 percent from behind the arc compared to Lindenwood (Ill.) University-Belleville, who struggled in the match-up and shot just 32 percent from the field and 25 percent from three-point range.
The second half would be a different story for both teams as Lindenwood-Belleville would start to click on the offensive end while the Lions struggled from the field to start the second half. The Lynx would open up the second half with authority as they out-shot FHU 21-12 in the first seven minutes to cut the deficit to 13 points at the 61-48 mark with 12:46 remaining.
However, despite the early charge to start the second half, 13 would be the closest the Lynx would get as the Lions would pick up where they left off in the first half and extend their lead back to 20 at the 73-53 mark with 8:22 remaining.
From that point forward, there would be no stopping the Lions as they extended their lead back to as many as 25 and would finish the game up 20 as they cruised to a 91-71 victory to dominate the quarterfinal match-up.
