Lady Lions Down Central Baptist In Straight Sets

CONWAY, Ark. - The Freed-Hardeman Lady Lion Volleyball team made it look easy Friday evening, as they picked up a straight-sets victory over Central Baptist College on the road in Conway, Ark. (25-13, 27-22, 25-14).

Bojana Antunovic and Claire Walker paced the Lady Lion attack in the victory, as Antunovic ended the night with 18 kills while Walker followed close behind with 17 kills of her own.

Emma Self set the FHU attackers up nicely in the match, as she dished out 40 of FHU's 42 assists while Reilly Fulton countered CBC's attack nicely with 15 defensive digs in the win.

The Lady Lions (10-7, 4-4 AMC) out-hit Central Baptist (3-21, 1-6 AMC) 44-26 in the match, as FHU hit .279 compared to the Mustangs who hit just .104 in the match.

The Lady Lions also picked up much needed points on the service line, as they peppered five service aces in the match, led by Audrey Moore, who recorded two service aces in the win.

With the win, the Lady Lions move to 10-7 on the season and 4-4 in conference play. Central Baptist College falls to 3-21 on the season and 1-6 in AMC play with the loss.

UP NEXT: The Lady Lions continue their road trip Saturday, October 20th, as they take on Lyon College for a 1:00 PM conference road match-up in Batesville, Ark.
