Lady Lions Fall In Straight At Bethel

MCKENZIE, Tenn. - The Freed-Hardeman Lady Lion Volleyball team fell in straight sets Tuesday evening at the hands of Bethel University on the road in McKenzie, Tenn. (25-11, 27-25, 25-16)

With the loss the Lady Lions fall to 12-8 on the season. Bethel University improves to 17-7 on the season with the win.

Despite the loss, the Lady Lions received solid contribution from several players, including Bojana Antunovic, who led FHU on the attack with eight kills. Shea Dean and Kathryn Bean followed close behind, as Dean ended the night with seven kills while Bean had six kills.

Emma Self dished out 26 assists while Reilly Fulton countered Bethel's attack with 17 digs. Bojana Antunovic also played well on the front line for the Lady Lions, as she recorded three blocks in the loss.

Hanah McGowan led Bethel University on the attack with 16 kills while Brooke Burress dished out 21 assists for the Wildcats in the win. Giulia Zilotti countered FHU's attack well with 25 defensive digs. The Wildcats accumulated 52 kills and hit .306 in the match compared to the Lady Lions who hit .115 in the match with 31 kills.

UP NEXT: The Lady Lions are back in action Friday, November 2nd, as they host Lindenwood University-Belleville for a 7:00 PM match-up at the Brewer Sports Center.
