Lady Lions Down NCAA Lane College In Straight Sets

HENDERSON, Tenn. - The Freed-Hardeman Lady Lion Volleyball made quick work of NCAA Division 2 Lane College Friday evening, as they picked up a victory in straight sets at the Brewer Sports Center (25-18, 25-12, 25-15).

Claire Walker and Bojana Antunovic continued to dominate on the front line, as Walker pounded out 13 kills in the match while Antunovic followed close behind with 11 kills of her own.

Emma Self continued her strong play for FHU, as she dished out 29 assists while Reilly Fulton compiled 13 defensive digs and two service aces in the win.

The Lady Lions (8-6) hit .270 in the match and compiled 45 kills compared to Lane College (2-20), who compiled just 17 kills and hit -.022 in the loss. With the win, the Lady Lions move to 8-6 on the season. Lane College falls to 2-20 on the season with the loss.

UP NEXT: The Lady Lions are back in action tomorrow, as they host conference foe Hannibal-LaGrange University for a 1:00 PM match-up at the Brewer Sports Center.
