HENDERSON – No. 1 Freed-Hardeman (17-0, 11-0 AMC) continued its win streak on Saturday afternoon with a lopsided 92-30 win over American Midwest Conference opponent Stephens College (3-14, 1-10 AMC).
While the Stars did hold a 4-2 lead very early on, the Lady Lions came storming back to take a 27-9 lead after the first 10 minutes behind an eight point, seven rebound quarter from Haylee Croom.
Croom would rest for the entirety of the second period, but would enter back in the game after the halftime break and earn yet another double-double with 17 points and 14 rebounds.
Croom was one of five Lady Lions to finish the contest with double-digit points. Sandrea Sylman would lead all scorers with 18 points.
Carrie Hatchel knocked down five shots from deep to go for 17 points, followed by Jamie Crum, who had 12 off the bench.
Reagen Floyd rounded out the double-digit scorers with 10.
The top-ranked Lady Lions will have nearly a week off before facing off against Lindenwood University-Belleville at home on Thursday. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m.
