Lady Lions fall in straight sets at Bethel

MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The Lady Lions volleyball team (14-9, 5-2 AMC) fell in straight sets (25-22, 25-21, 26-24) to future Mid-South Conference foe Bethel (12-10, 6-2 SSAC) on Tuesday night.

It was a tough night offensively for the Lady Lions, with Claire Walker leading the team in kills with 10. Emma Self added to her assist total with 24, and Reilly Fulton finished the game with 16 digs.

Kacey Donegan neared a double-double with seven kills and nine digs. Shea Dean had six kills.

The Lady Lions will continue their road trip when they head to St. Louis to play in St. Louis College of Pharmacy's tournament on Friday and Saturday. They take on Cumberland University on Friday at 1 p.m., followed by a matchup with College of the Ozarks at 5:30. On Saturday, they face off against Lincoln College at 11 a.m., and they close out the tournament against Haskell Indian Nations University at 1 p.m.
