ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Freed-Hardeman University volleyball team (15-10,5-2) is competing in the St.Louis College of Pharmacy Tournament, and went 1-1 on the first day on Friday.
ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Freed-Hardeman University volleyball team (15-10,5-2) is competing in the St.Louis College of Pharmacy Tournament, and went 1-1 on the first day on Friday.
The Lady Lions faced future Mid-South opponent Cumberland University (17-8, 7-3 MSC) first, and fell in straight sets (12-25,16-25,18-25). Claire Walker led the team in kills with five, Emma Self had 18 assists and Reilly Fulton had 10 digs.
The second match was a win in four sets over College of the Ozarks (25-19,23-25, 25-23,25-18). It was a strong match for the Lady Lions offensively with Kacey Donegan dropping 20 kills, Walker adding 14 and Shea Dean putting up 12. Self had 47 assists and 16 digs for a double-double, and Fulton had 24 digs along with Emma Campbell with 11.
The Lady Lions will be back in action at the STLCOP Tournament on Saturday at 11 a.m. against Lincoln College and 1 p.m. against Haskell Indian Nations University
