HENDERSON, Tenn. – The Freed-Hardeman University volleyball team (11-7, 3-1 AMC) took down conference foe Lyon College (10-9, 2-3 AMC) in straight sets (25-13, 25-18, 25-18), in its second of three straight home games on Friday night.
The Lady Lions played a complete game and maintained their composure throughout the entire match. Claire Walker led the way with 16 kills, along with Kacey Donnegan who added 14 kills on the night, maintaining their place inside the top three in the conference.
Emma Self dished out 38 assists in the win, and Reilly Fulton anchored the Lady Lions on the defensive end with 14 digs.
The Lady Lions controlled the game from start to finish, and got a conference win that could potentially have seeding implications come the conference tournament next month. They will be back in action on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Brewer Sports Center when they take on Central Baptist.
