HENDERSON, Tenn. – The Freed-Hardeman Lady Lions basketball team (7-3, 4-0 AMC) defeated Rust College (9-2) 78-48 in its first home game since November 23 on Saturday afternoon.

The two teams traded buckets to start the game, but a run to end the first quarter gave the Lady Lions a 10-point lead. In the second quarter, they put their foot on the gas and did not let up and took a 40-24 lead into halftime.

Rust would score the first five points of the second half before Jamie Crum would light up from deep, knocking down three in a row, to spark the Lady Lions for the rest of the game. The lead for the Lady Lions would stretch to 34 en route to an easy 30-point victory.
